For next month, Fri., Feb. 17, 1 - 2:30 p.m. to be exact, we will be entertaining a very different sort of book: Octavia Butler's Kindred. This book is categorized as "speculative fiction" and features on engaging young black protagonist, Dana, who travels in time between present-day Los Angeles and plantation times in the Deep South. Butler won a MacArthur Genius Award, as well as numerous other honors. Villager Kathy Steel-Sabo will host the event and lead the discussion. Be sure to register at the here. Masks required.
