The Book Club has chosen Ed Yong's An Immense World, a New York Times best-seller with the subtitle How Animal Senses Reveal the Hidden Realms Around Us.  The author, a Pulitzer-Prize winner and renowned scientific journalist, "coaxes us beyond the confines of our own senses. We encounter beetles that are drawn to fire, turtles that can track the Earth's magnetic fields, fish that fill rivers with electrical messages...."  Siddhartha Mukherjee, author of The Gene, terms it "a stunning achievement, steeped in science but suffused with magic." Villager Patty Allen will lead the discussion.
