Greater Niles Village is a member of  the Village Movement California (VMC), a coalition of Villages. Recognizing that our experiences in this global pandemic are both shared and individual, VMC is sponsoring a state-wide virtual "coffee chat" via Zoom for members of villages throughout California to connect with each other and continue building community as we shelter in place. You can join with video and audio on your computer, tablet, or smartphone, or call in for audio only with your cellphone or landline. Register at Village Movement California

NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS

We are here to aid any senior requiring assistance navigating the challenges of and resources for sheltering in place. Our screened volunteers provide social networks and practical support for seniors:
  • making friendly check-in phone calls
  • creating opportunities for volunteers of any age
  • convening Book Club and Take Charge of Your Tech special interest groups online
  • shopping (placing on-line, fulfilling in-store, or picking up take-out orders)
  • coaching on using technology during the Shelter at Home order
  • providing referrals to local resources
