Explore proven ways to maintain your health and well-being during these times of pandemic. Frishta will define resilience and why it is important. She will review research-based strategies for building resilience: developing optimism, hope, positivity, gratitude and appreciation.

Frishta Sharifi is a Counselor for the Family Caregiving Support Program of Human Services Department, City of Fremont. Frishta holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling with emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy and Professional Clinical Counseling. She is trained as a Certified Compassion Cultivation (CCT) Teacher through Stanford University School of Medicine’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education (CCARE). In addition to counseling, she is interested in women’s emotional memory and in cross–cultural research on emotional memory and how emotional memory changes across lifespan. Her emotional memory research work has been published in the Journal of Integrated Social Science, Psychology, and Journal of Psychology and Behavioral Sciences. |
