This GNV Gathering will help you understand the Medicare program and various options available for supplementing Medicare (Medigap policies, Medicare Advantage Plans, Drug Benefits). The presentation will also cover consumer protections for Medicare beneficiaries and appeal rights.

Presenter Janet Quilici is a Medicare counselor, registered with the state of California, who has volunteered with the Health Insurance Counseling and Advocacy Program (HICAP), for nine years. Villager Dina Hansen, R.N. will be available to respond to questions about when and why insurance coverage is denied and appeals.
