Villages operate on the concept of reciprocity—neighbors helping neighbors—members and community volunteers sharing expertise and skills. Volunteers may serve on the Board of Directors, Teams and/or as Helping Hands.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The leadership team is developing strategies, identifying activities and forging partnerships, creating a caring community that helps seniors to retain their independence, avoid isolation, stay in their homes, remain active in the community and enhance their quality of life. TEAMS
Team volunteers share their skills and expertise in support of the Board of Directors’ initiatives on programs and services for Villagers to successfully navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging. Teams design, coordinate and manage Member Services, Volunteers, Outreach and Publicity, Technology, Administration, and Fundraising.
HELPING HANDS
Helping Hands provide Villagers who need assistance with practical support and develop GNV’s screened list of businesses and personal service providers. Call Managers respond to Service Requests made by phone or email. Service Providers are Members and Community Volunteers who provide direct services to members.
