About this event

Our next book for discussion is Bonnie Garmus'
Lessons in Chemistry, a piece of fiction that explores the challenges faced by women scientists in the 1950's and '60's...as well as many other engaging topics. A #1 NYT best seller, the book is described in The Atlantic as "strikingly relevant...darkly funny and poignant," and features a most memorable protagonist, Elizabeth Zott, as she struggles to be recognized as a scientist just before the feminist revolution gains traction. (Don't be deterred by the garish colors and cutesy design of the book cover!)
Villager Ann Halligan will lead the discussion, and host the group at her home 36650 Cuenca Court.
