At the invitation of the City of Fremont, on 4/11/24, fourteen GNV members participated in an Age-Friendly City Focus Group, sharing our unique and valuable insights about ways Fremont can improve as an Age-Friendly City. Thank you Villagers!
The Age-Friendly Fremont Action Plan is Fremont’s collaboration with the World Health Organization’s Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities. Cities participating in the Age-Friendly Network commit to assessing and improving their age-friendliness in nine domains.
Facilitated by Karen Grimsich of the City of Fremont’s Aging and Family Services, Human Services Department, the focus group discussed two domains:
- Community Information
- Employment and Learning Opportunities.
Shape your community to be responsive and supportive toward older adults. Go to Survey to complete the Fremont Age-Well Survey.
