GNV is deeply grateful to Villager Patty Allen for her time, talent, and life experience while serving as Member at Large on the Board of Directors, as leader of the Book Club, and as co-leader of the Memoir Writers Group with Jan Quilici. Patty’s warmth made any conversation with her a moment of positivity. She could always be counted on to provide carefully deliberated input in meetings, and at least one perfectly timed non sequitur that got everyone laughing. Her love for learning and language inspired us, and her gracious hospitality was evident each time she welcomed Villagers to GNV events at her home.

Thank you, Patty, for your many contributions to making Greater Niles Village effective at fostering connections among members and organizing practical support when members need assistance. We will miss you so very much. You remain an inspiration as we continue to create a community that can navigate the challenges and opportunities of aging better, together.
