Tour and lunch at Gurdwara Sahib of Fremont

In July, Greater Niles Village members enjoyed a delicious vegetarian lunch with our Sikh neighbors at Gurdwara Sahib Fremont. We are grateful to HP Singh for our tour and for explaining the basic tenets Sikhs live by. Our thanks also go to Preetam Kbhatia for answering questions and helping us with our lunch. We left Gurdwara with our stomachs full of food and our brains packed with information and appreciation for the generosity of our Sikh neighbors. HP and Preetam emphasized that everyone is welcome to come and see the temple and have lunch anytime.

Second Annual Poolside BBQ Party

Hacienda Pool
August 21, 2025

Last year was so much fun we decided to do it again. Join us at Hacienda Pool on August 21 at Noon for a barbecue and swim -- or just to enjoy good friends and good food. GNV will provide hamburgers, veggieburgers and all the trimmings, side dishes and drinks. Bring your swimsuit and towel (showers and changing rooms are available) to enjoy the nice warm pool. Wear comfortable shoes for the lawn games. We will eat in the shade but bring sunscreen.

You are welcome to bring a guest or two but let us know their names by the deadline when you RSVP so we have plenty of food. Hacienda Pool's address is on Pecan but it is actually located at the end of Rock Avenue.
