2025 Festival of Lights Parade 1Niles Festival of Lights Parade!

The Nile’s Festival of Lights Parade was a joyful celebration filled with a strong sense of community pride. Villagers both walked and rode along the route, enthusiastically representing and promoting Greater Niles Village as they
waved to neighbors and visitors lining the streets. A special thanks goes
2025 Festival of Lights Parade 2
to Mark Twist, for securing a beautiful banner and driving the truck, and to Barbara King and Barb Howard for organizing our participants and decking everyone out in cheerful Christmas attire. Their efforts made the parade presence more memorable than ever.

Join Us for the Patterson House Tour!

Step back in time and explore local history with us on Thursday, December 11 at 1:00 PM as we tour 14 festively decorated rooms in the beautifully restored Queen Anne–style Patterson House. This guided visit offers a chance to learn about the home’s architecture, the people who lived there, and the rich heritage it represents in our community.

We will meet at the Patterson house located at Ardenwood Historic Park, 34600 Ardenwood Blvd., Fremont. Please allow enough time to walk from the parking lot to the house for our 1:00 tour. Walkers are allowed in the house, but you will not be able to access the rooms on the second floor.

After the tour, we’ll continue the conversation and enjoy some related fellowship over a no-host coffee at Devout Coffee located 37323 Niles Blvd., Fremont. It’s a perfect opportunity to linger, share thoughts and connect with others who enjoy local history and good company. All are welcome - come join us for an enjoyable afternoon of learning and connection.

Please email Beth Rasler (Beth.Rasler@NilesVillage.org) for more information.

Volunteer Opportunity

Helping Hands Needs You!

Our Helping Hands team connects service members with volunteers for friendly visits, short walks, and other simple acts of kindness. While we usually match requests quickly, we’ve recently seen a surge in members looking for a companion for a short stroll or a friendly chat.

If you have a little time to spare now and then, we’d love to hear from you. Your small effort can make a big difference.

Please give us a call to get involved!
