"Hamnet"
Villager Marge Leonard has volunteered to lead the discussion of Maggie O'Farrell's highly-acclaimed novel
Hamnet
(that's the correct spelling), an imaginative rendering of the Shakespeare family's contending with the death of their 11-year-old son of the same name, who passed away four years before the dramatist wrote Hamlet. The Boston Globe exults, "Of all the stories that argue and speculate about Shakespeare's life...here is a novel...so gorgeously written that it transports you."
