Age-Friendly City Focus Group

April 11, 2024
10:00 am - noon

The City of Fremont invites GNV members to participate in an Age-Friendly City Focus Group. As Villagers, share your unique and valuable insights about Fremont as an Age-Friendly City. Shape your community to be responsive and supportive toward older adults.

The Age-Friendly Focus Group is part of Fremont’s collaboration with the World Health Organization’s Global Network of Age-Friendly Cities. Cities participating in the Age-Friendly Network commit to assessing and improving their age-friendliness in nine
domains

  • Community Information
  • Employment and Learning Opportunities
  • Health and Wellness
  • Outdoor Spaces and Parks
  • Volunteering and Civic Engagement
  • Transportation
  • Social Participation and Inclusion
  • Housing
  • Dementia Related Support

Facilitated by Karen Grimsich of the City of Fremont’s Aging and Family Services, Human Services Department, the focus group will discuss two domains deeply

  • Community Information
  • Employment and Learning Opportunities.

The group will be invited to comment on the other domains as time allows.
