Travel Adventures—Japan
Did you know that
  • Japan is the country with the most vending machines
  • the Greater Tokyo Area is the most populated megacity in the world (37,393,000 people)
  • 69% of the 6,852 islands that make up the Japanese archipelago are covered in forest.
Learn about this fascinating country or reminisce with other Villagers about your own experiences in Japan. Villagers Karen McCready and Kathy Steel-Sabo will open our discussion with slides from their travels to Japan.

October 28
7:00 - 8:30 pm
The Culture Club
Autumn is traditionally the beginning of a vibrant arts season in the Bay Area and in many other cities. Due to the pandemic, most venues are shuttered. If you are interested in visual and performing arts—theatre, opera, music, dance, art—welcome to The Culture Club. We’ll talk about memorable arts experiences and share how we’re nurturing our passions while sheltering in place. This is the start-up meeting for GNV’s Culture Club.  The group will decide about continuing with on-line meetings, and then in-person activities, once the shelter-in-place is lifted.
